Yea I know... but I couldn't resist.

Last week I was on the computer and some how my fingers took over the keyboard and before I knew it...Lotta Jansdotter Echo Bundle was bought from Fabric Worm.
It wasn't the complete line, but enough for me.
Ah well it's almost Christmas isn't it?
Now what to make...A Quilt of course and I have seen some fantastic designs out there already.

With only myself at home last night, I was able to get a good bit of time to sit at the sewing machine.
I purposely turned off the computer so there was no reading of blogs to distract me and fabric was cut and blocks sewed before midnight and then up early this morning to sew them all together.

I had cut the fabric into 7" squares  and then into triangles.
Co ordinating fabric were all Kona fabrics. Coffee, Sage, Ash, and White.  All in my stash.
(I knew they would come in handy!)

Although it is very bright outside now, I knew it wouldn't be when I finish the next 6 rows this afternoon so I took the opportunity to take a photo of what I have done so far.

And the best bit is there is still a bit of fabric left over...which is great as I have an idea for another quilt.

I don't think there will be much more buying until after the Christmas posting rush is over.
I wouldn't want any precious parcels going missing.

Thanks for dropping by.  Erin

  1. So in love with this line - great (1/2) quilt top xxx

  2. Ooow! Very nice! Sometimes you just need to treat yourself! ;)

  3. I know....we can't be held responsible when our fingers get away on us! Enjoy your new computer.

  4. Ooh, this looks so lovely. Somehow, a FQ bundle of Echo (cool tones) fell into my Etsy shopping cart on Friday in the Black Friday sales. Can't wait for it to arrive now after seeing this :-)

  5. I fell prey to these fabrics before you did Erin! But you have got further at making something out of it! Looking great!

  6. oh how lovely!! That fqs is at the top of my Christmas list!!

  7. Iam loving this fabric line and what you've done with it! I might have to do some shopping myself :)

  8. I love what you've done with this gorgeous fabric!

  9. Um, I'm a little jealous that those fabrics are at your house right now. And that fab quilt top! It looks great and I can't wait to see what you do with the remaining bits!

  10. Looking good! I love that you cut right into them. I usually buy fabrics and then they sit for awhile before I get around to them.

  11. Oh my goodness, my fingers do that independent fabric buying thing too!!! They managed to resist Echo, but only i think because intrepid thread ran out with their 20% off black friday sale. So of course the basket got filled with other things. Unfortunately this is happening about once a fortnight and stash acquisition is beyond life expectancy now. I'm going on a fabric diet in the new year. Binge then purge - I'm fabric bulemic.

  12. pretty pretty pretty! It's all of my might to not get shopping right now!
Laura (above me) is cracking me up!

  13. I didn't resist the echo calling either, but I'm still at the staring/stroking stage ,your quilt looks great.

  14. You have been so busy Erin while I have been taking a break from the blogworld! I love this line of fabrics - have some but haven't cut into mine yet! Your quilt looks lovely! And thanks for the solid colours you put with it - I definitely want solids with mine!

I love your comments and do try my best to reply to them all.
